MECHANICAL FITTERS
|
|
We
require flexible and enthusiastic people for the
maintenance of Rail Freight Wagons at our Langwith
Junction site. Experience of Rolling Stock maintenance
and a recognised Engineering qualification would be an
advantage but is not essential, since training will be
provided. Salary will be dependant on skills and
experience.

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
|

The successful applicant will be
capable of undertaking patrol inspection duties in our
engineering workshops and will have sufficient
knowledge/experience of fabrication and welding and be
familiar with working with BS EN ISO 9001 systems.
Experience in NDT
testing would be an advantage, but not a requirement as
training will be provided if required. Experience in
shotblasting and painting would also be an advantage,
but again, training will be provided if required.

MOBILE MAINTENANCE FITTERS
|
|
W. H. Davis is a well-established rail freight wagon
manufacturer and maintainer now looking to further expand
mobile maintenance facilities.
Opportunities have arisen for maintenance fitters operating
from our Langwith Junction Works. The
successful applicants will be responsible for the
maintenance and modification of rail wagons on and off
site. You will work closely with other fitters to
undertake maintenance and repairs and quickly resolve day
to day problems to ensure a consistently high standard of
service delivery. To succeed in these roles you will have
a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, be
physically fit and have the ability to use your
initiative.
You will be required to work a 39-hour week.
A commitment to customer service, high personal
standards and the ability to work as part of a team are
essential.
Ideally you will have a recognised mechanical
qualification and/or a time served mechanical background.
A good knowledge of the mechanical/braking system
operating on railway wagons would be an advantage, but not
essential, since structured training will be provided.
A clean driving license is required. These
posts are safety critical and subject to medical
drug/alcohol screening and Personnel Track Safety
Assessments will form part of the selection process.
